Malena Mard welcomes release of Arif Yunus
EU Ammassador to Azerbaijan Malena Mard has made a statement upon release of Arif Yunus:
"I welcome the decision by the Baku Court of Appeal to transfer historian and human rights activist Mr. Arif Yunus to house arrest on humanitarian grounds.
It is a welcome development and a positive humanitarian gesture and I hope further steps will follow.
In general, the EU stands ready to further deepen and broaden our respective dialogue and cooperation with Azerbaijan", - reads the statement.-02D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
