M.Aliyeva congratulated Azerbaijani people with Ramadan
Baku / 06.05.19 / Turan: First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
"I congratulate you on the coming of the month of Ramadan - the month of strict fasting and spiritual renewal, reflections and prayers, forgiveness and compassion. For millions of Muslims all over the world, this holy month is a time of moral improvement, good and good deeds," says Aliyeva"s message.
The first vice president notes "Azerbaijan respects its spiritual traditions dating back to centuries. Their moral and ethical basis remains unchanged. After all, caring for one"s neighbor, kindness and compassion have been valued at all times."
Aliyeva expressed confidence that the month of Ramadan will be a time of unity and harmony, respect and mutual understanding.
"May Allah hear and fulfill all your prayers on these holy days of the month. I wish you peace, goodness, happiness and prosperity," Mehriban Aliyeva concluded her congratulations. -0-

Official Baku has condemned the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Azerbaijan-Armenia border during his official visit to Armenia. "The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions. The next municipal elections in Azerbaijan will take place on January 29, 2025, Mazahir Panahov, the head of the Central Election Commission (CEC), said at a meeting of the commission. By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Siyavush Kerimi has been relieved of his duties as rector of the National Conservatory. By another decree from the head of state, Khamila Dadashzade has been appointed as the new rector of the institution. Previously, she headed the Department of Music History and Theory at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Dadashzade is a member of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan.
