Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran in Tashkent
Baku/25.01.25/Turan: On January 24, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran took place in Tashkent within the framework of the summit of the countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Ceyhun Bayramov and Amir Abdollahiyan discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as the situation in the region. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister wrote about this on his Twitter account.
* (ECO) is a regional interstate economic organization formed in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey.
Since 1992, ECO activities intensified due to the accession of 7 new countries - Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
ECO enjoys an observer status in the UN and in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). -02D-
