Military Industrial Complex of Azerbaijan Produces Products of 1,200 Kinds
Baku / 18.12.17 / Turan: The number of enterprises of the Azerbaijani defense industry has reached 58, and the range of products is 1,200 kinds.
General production of defense products for 2007-2017 increased 6.7 times. Azerbaijan exports goods to the military-industrial complex in more than 10 countries. This is stated in the article of the Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov, published in the newspaper Azerbaijan on December 17.
The volume of defense products produced and handed over to the defense department increased by 7.1 percent in January-November compared to the same period last year. At present, development work is under way to create 136 new types of defense products.
The Ministry of Defense Industry was established in 2005. December 17 is celebrated as a professional holiday of employees of this industry. -06D--

On January 15, the Tbilisi Court of Appeals rejected the appeal of Afghan Sadigov, the founder of the Azel TV website, who had protested his extradition to Azerbaijan. On January 15, the Yasamal District Court rejected the motion to change the detention measure for Azer Gasymly, the director of the Institute of Political Management, his lawyer, Agyl Laidj, to Turan. "Azer Gasymly stated during the trial that the charges against him were fabricated and related to his socio-political activities," the lawyer said. An appeal will be filed against the court's decision.
