Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation to visit Azerbaijan

The State Security Service (SSS) and the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan (IMA) have reported the liquidation of a radical extremist group in Gusar region. It is reported that 8 members of the group were killed while offering armed resistance, and 6 were arrested.

In a series of unprecedented drone attacks early Monday, February 3, critical energy facilities in Russia's Astrakhan and Volgograd regions were targeted, according to local authorities. The governor of Astrakhan, Igor Babushkin, reported attempted strikes on fuel and energy complex installations in his region, attributing the assault to Ukrainian armed forces. Elvin Zeynalov, a religious activist living in the village of Mashtaga, was detained on January 31 around noon by individuals in plain clothes outside a store near his home. According to his relatives, later in the evening, Zeynalov was brought back home by people in black clothing, who conducted a search. They took Zeynalov's pants from the wardrobe, put marijuana in the pocket, then "seized" the drugs, filmed the video, and then took the activist away again.
