MPs to Approve 24 Legislative Documents
On Tuesday, the plenary session of the Milli Majlis started, with 24 items on the agenda.
The Deputies ratified the agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia on bilateral investment protection, approved the statements of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan, three agreements between the governments of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, as well as a multilateral agreement for the protection of water resources of the Caspian Sea, the protection of biological diversity and cooperation in meteorology.
They also passed amendments to the Tax Code and the Water Code and the law on compulsory insurance of servicemen, on occupational accidents in the workplace and on compulsory insurance of judges and law enforcement agencies.
Today they are expected to approve the amendments to the laws on road traffic, the status of municipalities, privatization of state property, information about the media, education of people with disabilities and the Migration Code. -02D-

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has expressed condolences to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, following the tragic incident in the city of Magdeburg. "We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
