Baku/10.10.23/Turan: On October 9, a police officer from the city of Beersheba, Emin Akhundov, was killed in Israel during battles with Hamas militants.
Emin is an ethnic Azerbaijani, a native of the city of Sumgayit. After moving to Israel, he received an education and was hired by the police. He lived with his family in the city of Beersheba.
After the Hamas attack on Israel, he was called to war. He died during the liberation of settlements from terrorists near the Gaza Strip.
Today, about 50.000 people from Azerbaijan of various nationalities live in Israel. -02B-
