NATO countries have started supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine
Baku/26.04.22/Turan: The German government has decided to supply Ukraine with self-propelled installations "Cheetah" from the Bundeswehr arsenal. This was reported on April 26 by the DPA agency.
"Cheetahs" can be used to defeat ground and air targets in cooperation with other types of military equipment.
In turn, France will supply Nexter CAESAR self-propelled artillery units to Ukraine.
The United States has begun deliveries of multiple launch rocket systems M142 HIMARS (range up to 300 km).
Britain will supply 20 AS-90 self-propelled artillery units and 45.000 shells to them (range of 24 km).
In turn, Canada will supply 155 mm. M777 howitzers and shells to them, as well as long-range projectiles with GPS guidance M982 Excalibur (range up to 40 km).
The day before President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky expressed his satisfaction that Western partners had finally started supplying to Ukraine what it needs. -02D-
