New Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan appointed
Baku/14.06.23/Turan: Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Mikhail Evdokimov as Ambassador to Azerbaijan, dismissing Mikhail Bocharnikov from this post. Relevant decrees of the head of the Russian Federation are published on the official portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.
Evdokimov, born in 1959, is a career diplomat.
He graduated from MGIMO in 1981, speaks English and French. Since the same year, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system, held various diplomatic positions in the central office of the MFA and abroad, in particular the Russian mission at the UN office in Geneva. In recent years, Evdokimov headed the First Department of the CIS countries of the MFA. -06B-
