On January 20, entrance to the Martyrs' Alley will be limited - Ministry of Internal Affairs
Baku/19.01.21/Turan: On January 20, on the Day of Mourning, the admission of citizens to the Martyrs' Alley will be limited - in groups of five people, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said.
This procedure is determined in connection with the conditions of a special quarantine regime introduced in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Visitors are required to use medical masks without fail, not gather more than five people, observe social distance and walk along the Alley without stopping, the message says.
Citizens are also required "not to gather inside the Alley and outside."
To ensure the safe movement of citizens, traffic on the streets and avenues in the direction of the Martyrs' Alley will be limited.
* January 20 is the Day of Sorrow in Azerbaijan. 31 years ago, the Soviet army carried out a punitive operation in Azerbaijan in order to suppress the national liberation movement.
