PACE Summer Session to Discuss Results of Extraordinary Presidential Elections in Azerbaijan
Baku / 13.06.18 / Turan: On June 25, the PACE summer session will listen to the report of the Romanian deputy Viorel Riceard Badea on the results of the extraordinary presidential elections in Azerbaijan on April 11. This is stated in a message on the PACE website.
The report itself, its recommendations and evaluations have not been published yet.
It is expected that the report will give a legal assessment of the conduct of these elections, their compliance with the norms of democracy and the standards of the Council of Europe.
These discussions have already provoked the annoyance of official Baku and the head of the Azerbaijani delegation Samad Seyidov expressed dissatisfaction with the decision to discuss the presidential elections at the session. -02B-
