PACE will prepare a report on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan
Yesterday the PACE session decided to prepare a report "On the growth of tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories of Azerbaijan." The decision was made in spite of the active opposition of the Armenian deputies.
October 1 at the meeting of the Political Committee PACE will discuss the question of the Speaker on the issue.
Recall that in January 2005, based on the report by Lord Atkinson, PACE already adopted a resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh, where they condemned the Armenian occupation and expressed support for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
In accordance with this resolution, the PACE subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh was created with the participation of deputies of Azerbaijan and Armenia and other countries. However, in recent years, the Armenian delegation has blocked the subcommittee. -06D-
