Palestine hopes that Azerbaijan will open its Embassy
Baku/10.08.22/Turan: Palestine is hopeful of opening the Azerbaijani Embassy in the country. This issue was raised on August 9 at a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh in the Turkish city of Konya.
Shtaye thanked Aliyev for his solidarity with Palestine, the support provided and humanitarian assistance, according to the website of the President of Azerbaijan.
Noting the successful development of bilateral ties in various fields, the Palestinian Prime Minister stressed mutual support within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement.
Shtaye raised an issue of opening the Azerbaijani Embassy in Palestine.
Aliyev pointed out that the Azerbaijani people are in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and educational spheres.
When it comes to the education of Palestinian students in Azerbaijan, Aliyev voiced readiness to increase grants allocated for these purposes.
It has to be kept in mind that the Embassy of Palestine has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2010. -06B-
