Pashyan offers to exchange maps of minefields for detained Armenians
Baku/04.10.21/Turan: Armenia is ready to provide Azerbaijan with all maps of minefields in exchange for prisoners. This was stated on Sunday by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who is on a visit to Lithuania.
Commenting on the statement of the Azerbaijani President about his readiness to meet with the Armenian Prime Minister, Pashinyan stated as follows: "At the upcoming, proposed meeting, I am ready to take with me maps of those areas that do not separate the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan, that is, they have no practical military significance because they are in the rear of the Azerbaijani armed forces. And I call on the President of Azerbaijan to bring all our prisoners with him."
Commenting on Baku's statements that the previously provided maps of minefields were contrary to reality, Pashinyan admitted that they might be inaccurate. "We gave the maps that we had at that time, and we simply have no other maps, I mean maps of the territories that we have already handed over," Radio Liberty quotes Pashinyan.
It can be concluded from the words of the Armenian Prime Minister that Armenia is ready to give maps of minefields in the liberated territories. At the same time, the Armenian side will not give maps on the line of contact in Karabakh and on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. -02D-
