Pressure on Head of Musavat Organization in Lankaran
Baku / 23.12.17 / Turan: The head of the Lankaran organization of the Musavat Party, Iman Aliyev, was summoned to the local police for "educational talks" on December 20 and 21, after which he received a warning. This was reported by the deputy chairman of the Musavat party Yadigar Sadigov.
According to him, Iman Aliyev was first summoned to the police on December 20 and kept there until almost midnight. He was released on condition that he would come again on December 21. On Thursday, he was again interrogated by the police. He was told that they received a complaint from a certain citizen who claimed that Iman Aliyev allegedly forced him to join the Musavat party, Sadigov said.
He said that after the "educational talks" Iman Aliyev was released and warned about the need to restrict his political activity.
Musavat believes the pressure on Aliyev is due to the fact that on November 26 he held a conference of the Lankaran organization of the Musavat party in his house.
It was not possible to receive comments in the Lankaran police. -06D--
