Prosecutor of Ismayilli region was arrested
Baku / 27.07.18 / Turan: By decision of the court, Prosecutor of Ismayilli region Ulvi Abbasov was arrested today, who was dismissed the day before. Turan was informed about this in the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the country.
In what the public prosecutor is accused and on what article to him is charged, while it is not known.
Let us recall that earlier the assistant to the prosecutor Ismayilli Faik Guliyev was arrested, accused of extorting bribes from a local businessman.
* On July 14, 2018, in the building of the Ismailly district prosecutor's office, Guliyev received a bribe on a large scale from Azad Aliyev, the chairman of the board of the İsmayıllı Tikinti 27 OJSC, the owner of a quarry for the production of sand and gravel. The bribe was given in exchange for not prosecuting for illegal actions.
In fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 311.3.3 (taking a bribe in a large amount). During the search Guliyev's office found money transferred as a bribe.
Guliyev was charged under articles 311.3.2 (taking bribes more than once) and 311.3.3 (taking bribes on a large scale). By a court decision, he was arrested and dismissed from the prosecutor's office.
During the service check it was established that the prosecutor of Ismayilli region Ulvi Abbasov together with Guliyev entered "in non-procedural relations with citizens, abused his official authority," the report said. -06D-
