Ramiz Mehdiyev Did Not Sue Deputies
Baku/11.02.21/Turan: “The reports that the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev filed a lawsuit against the deputies, is not true. Press publications on this topic are false,” the press service of the National Academy of Sciences told Turan.
Note that publications on this topic appeared in a number of media the day before and were actively replicated. According to these publications, the president of the National Academy of Sciences has filed lawsuits against 15 deputies on charges of defamation - articles 147 and 148 of the country's Criminal Code.
Criticism against Mehdiyev began to sound actively after the scandal in August 2020, when he arranged a wedding for his granddaughter during the quarantine period against the backdrop of strict bans on such events. -03B-
