Relatives of missing persons demand to intensify their searches
Baku/08.02.21/Turan: Relatives of the soldiers who went missing during the 44-day Karabakh war tried to hold a protest action in front of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on Monday.
The parents complained that for the fifth month there is no information about their children. “Let them find the remains if they have died and will hand them over to us. We ask the president for help. If the state cannot find them, let them give us the opportunity to look for them ourselves. Maybe they did not die. May be they were captured. They don't tell us anything,” said one of the protesters.
However, no one came out of the Ministry of Defense to meet the protesters.
According to the parents, their calls from the Ministry of Defense are asked to wait, as the search continues.
The action, which was attended by about 10 people, took place without incident.
On January 18, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan published the names of 2,855 dead soldiers, indicating that another 50 military are missing. –06D-
