Reporters Without Borders names two Azerbaijani reporters on the list of journalists killed in 2021
Baku/18.11.21/Turan: The International Organization for Defense of Press Freedom Reporters Without Borders (RWB) has published a list of journalists killed in 2021 while performing their professional duties. It includes two journalists from Azerbaijan.
Reporters Without Borders (RWB) added to the list of those killed in 2021 the correspondent of the Azerbaijani state news agency Azertaj Maharram Ibrahimov and the operator of the Azerbaijani state television Siraj Abishov. Both died on June 4, blown up by a mine planted by the Armenians in the Kelbajar region.
In total, 38 journalists from 20 countries of the world died in 2021, including, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, India, Palestine, Mexico, Yemen, China, Colombia, Greece, Lebanon, Pakistan, the Netherlands , Philippines, Somalia, Syria and Congo, according to the report of the RWB. — 06D-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
