Reports of Arrest of Ex-Minister of Labor, Social Protection Salim Muslimov Not Confirmed
Baku/03.02.21/Turan: Reports of the arrest of the former Minister of Labor and Social Protection Salim Muslimov are not confirmed.
On Wednesday morning, a number of media outlets, citing Muslimov's relatives and law enforcement agencies, announced his arrest on corruption charges.
However, by noon, a refutation was received on behalf of Salim Muslimov's father. It is noteworthy that the refutation was made not by Muslimov himself, but by his father.
At the same time, the law enforcement agencies did not criticize the media for such "disinformation", which they always do if the press publishes unconfirmed information.
Recall that Salim Muslimov was the head of the State Social Protection Fund in 2002-2013, and from 2013 to 2018, he was the Minister of Labor and Social Protection.
What he has been doing over the past two years is unknown.-02D-
