Baku/05.09.22/Turan: Russian businessman Ruben Vardanyan, who announced his move to Karabakh in order to "save the region from destruction", made a number of high-profile statements in Khankendi.
In particular, he stated that in Armenia there is hatred towards Karabakh and the people of Karabakh, and he will do everything to eliminate this. Moreover, he will do this by developing domestic tourism.
“In Armenia, there is hatred towards Artsakh and the people of Artsakh, and we will do everything so that the Armenians living in Armenia come to Artsakh and see Artsakh, they must come and see that for the sake of the land, for the sake of monuments, for the sake of churches, people gave their lives, their children,” the Armenian service of "Radio Liberty" quoted Vardanyan.
Vardanyan is sure that his presence will convince the people of Karabakh that they are not alone. He assured that he was serious and would not abandon the Karabakh people.
He also stated that the renunciation of Russian citizenship was not connected with the threat of Western sanctions, because no sanctions were imposed against him. Answering journalists' questions, he did not rule out that he could take a public post in Armenia, including the post of prime minister. -----02D----
