Ruling Party Will Hold Extraordinary Congress?
Baku / 25.08.20 / Turan: Since the morning of August 25, a number of pro-government websites have announced the intention of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party to hold an extraordinary congress. At the same time, the agenda of the meeting was not clarified. However, the party itself has not confirmed the information about preparations for the extraordinary forum.
The point is that not a single pro-government media outlet will write rumors about the authorities. Therefore, most likely, the congress will take place.
According to unofficial information, the authorities decided to purge the personnel considered to be ballast and introduce young personnel into the management team. So, in the Board and the Political Council of the party there are many former state officials dismissed for various reasons, deputies and former ministers.
They are Huseyngulu Bagirov, Misir Mardanov, Ali Abbasov, Ali Hasanov, Ismet Abbasov, state officials Ali Hasanov, Tagi Ahmedov, Fatma Abdullazadeh, Hajibala Abutalibov, Elnur Aslanov, Nizami Khudiyev, Novruz Mammadov, Arif Rahimzadeh, and Dilara Seyidzadeh.
According to a number of observers, the scandal around Ramiz Mehdiyev will be used as a pretext and many of the above-named persons will be excluded from the party's leadership.
According to an informed source in the NAP, the video from the wedding of Ramiz Mehdiyev's granddaughter is "carefully studied" and all quarantine violators will be punished. -03 / 02B-
