Second Aliyev-Pashinyan meeting was held through the mediation of the French President
Baku/16.12.21/Turan: Late in the evening of December 15, another meeting was held in Brussels between Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan through the mediation of the French President.
Prior to that, Macron met with Pashinian separately, after which he tweeted:
"We will never leave the Armenians behind. We will always seek solutions for a lasting peace. I call for the coming holidays to be a period of pacification and humanitarian achievements," he wrote.
No details of the Macron-Aliyev-Pashinian trilateral meeting have so far been made public by the three sides. However it is clear that they discussed how to deal with the aftermath of the war and how to find a peaceful solution to the situation.
It should be recalled that a day earlier a similar meeting in Brussels had been organised by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel. -02D-
