Secretary General of Reporters Without Borders Urges Baku to Stop Blocking Harlem Desir’s Mandate
Baku / 06.07.20 / Turan: Secretary General of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Cristophe Deloire called on Azerbaijan to stop blocking Harlem Desir's candidacy for the post of OSCE representative for the press.
“RSF stands in full solidarity with @harlemdesir. His @OSCE_RFoM mandate is crucial to the defense of media freedom across the OSCE region. We call on Azerbaijan to immediately cease efforts to block consensus for the renewal of his mandate,” Deloire wrote on his Twitter account.
Recall that official Baku has blocked the extension of the mandate of Harlem Desir in retaliation for the constant criticism of Azerbaijan by Harlem Desir for violating the freedom of the media and journalists. -02B-
