Senior Officers of Azerbaijani Armed Forces Killed in Tovuz - Defense Ministry
Baku / 07.14.20 / Turan: In the morning of July 14, information appeared on social networks about the death of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces General Hashimov and another senior officer in Tovuz. At noon, this information was confirmed to journalists by Deputy Minister of Defense Kerim Veliyev.
“Within two days powerful blows were delivered to enemy positions. The losses of the Armenian side in dead and wounded amounted to about 100 people. A large number of military equipment and important transportation hubs were destroyed.
This morning, Major General Polad Hashimov and Colonel Ilgar Mirzoyev heroically died during the battle, ”the Deputy Minister said.
Unfortunately, the losses were not limited to this: Majors Namik Ahmedov and Anar Novruzov, ensigns Ilgar Zeynally and Yashar Babayev and private Elchin Mustafazadeh were also killed, Veliyev said.
As it became known from unofficial sources, the General and the rest of the military were killed in shelling by the enemy. -02D-
