Separatists ask to stop the military operation
Baku/19.09.23/Turan: The separatists appealed to the Azerbaijani side to cease fire and sit down at the negotiating table to resolve the situation, Armenian media reported with reference to the "Infoshtab" of the illegal regime. In turn, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said that the Armenian armed forces should be withdrawn from Karabakh, and the illegal regime should be dissolved.
"The illegal separatist puppet regime should dissolve itself, and the Armenian armed forces stationed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan should be disarmed. Azerbaijan uses precision guided munitions against legitimate military targets and avoids collateral damage to the civilian population by all means.
The rights and security of the civilian population of Armenian origin in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan will be ensured in accordance with the Constitution and international obligations of Azerbaijan. Disband and disarm!" – Hajiyev wrote on the social platform X. ---06D---

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
