Iranian MP Ahmet Bigesh
Some People in Iran Fear Corridor between Nakhchivan and Rest of Azerbaijan
Baku / 02.12.20 / Turan: Iranian MP Ahmet Bigesh made a tough statement, demanding not to recognize the corridor between Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan. In addition, he called on Tehran to take measures against the strengthening of Turkey in Azerbaijan.
"We do not recognize a corridor that will serve Turkey," he said.
Bigesh further called on the Iranian parliament to oppose Turkey's interference in the region and to officially declare that Iran does not recognize the geographical change of borders in the region and the corresponding corridor. This was reported by Vestnik Kavkaza.
What caused the Iranian deputy's hysteria is not entirely clear. However, certain circles in Tehran want to present Turkey's strengthening in the region as NATO's arrival here. -02D-
