"Special operations" in the "military enlistment offices" of Lachin and Jalilabad, charges were brought against the head of the "medical commission" of Sabunchi
Baku/04.07.23/Turan: Employees of the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General conducted operational activities in the Jalilabad and Lachin regional departments of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of Azerbaijan. The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office confirmed this fact and noted that more detailed information will be provided later.
The department reported on the investigation of a criminal case against the head of the department of "Sabunchi Medical Center" Ilgar Garadjayev. He is suspected of taking bribes for more than 18,000 manats ($11,000) in exchange for providing fictitious conclusions about the unfitness of conscripts for military service.
Garadjayev was charged under the Articles 308.2 (abuse of official authority, which entailed grave consequences), 311.3.2 (repeated bribery), 313 (official forgery) and other articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Taking into account the state of health and age, Garajaev will not be subjected to pre-trial detention, but placed under house arrest. ---06B---

Detention of the "military commissar" of the Khachmaz region is reported
Baku/04.07.23/Turan: The General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General held an operational event in the Khachmaz regional department of the State Service for mobilization and conscription.
The head of the department, Rahim Agayev, was detained during the operation, informed sources told Turan.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office confirmed to the Turan agency that an operation was carried out in the specified structure of the state service for mobilization and conscription. However, the prosecutor's office does not report of what Agayev is suspected. The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office noted that detailed information will be provided later. --06B--

Regional international exercise "Birlestik-2024" starts today in Mangistau region of Kazakhstan. Military contingents from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take part in the exercise.

The informal summit of the leaders of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha ended with the signing of the Karabakh Declaration. The document was signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz.
