Sudden Resignation of Chairman of ANIP
The Chairman of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) Yusif Baghirzadeh resigned from that post. Before that, he withdrew his candidacy for MPs in the 37th First Nizami Constituency (Ganja).
Baghirzadeh did not pre-inform his party colleagues on his resignation.
Baghirzadeh himself told the press that he resigned as chairman of the party "in connection with health problems."
For the members and management of ANIP Baghirzadeh’s resignation was a surprise, and they cannot contact him.
The party will express its attitude on this issue as soon as they contact Baghirzadeh, Turan was told by the party activists.
Baghirzadeh was elected head of the party in the summer of 2010. ANIP was founded in the early 1990s by Etibar Mammadov, one of the leaders of the national liberation movement of Azerbaijan. He led the party until 2005 -05B-
