Baku/31.07.23/Turan: Today, information about the sudden death of ex-Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Suret Huseynov (1993-1994) appeared in social networks and on a number of websites. According to some sources, he died in the Czech Republic, according to others, he fell into a coma in Istanbul. Huseynov's relatives do not comment on these reports in any way.
Suret Huseynov is known for launching a military revolt against the Popular Front government in June 1993, forcing President Abulfaz Elchibey to resign. He later fled to Russia, where he hid until 1997. After that, he was extradited to Azerbaijan and convicted. In 2004, he was pardoned. ---02B---
