Swiss companies involved in projects in liberated territories of Azerbaijan
Baku/06.09.23/Turan: Several technological Swiss companies are interested in the reconstruction projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. Swiss Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Alexander Hoffet said this at a reception dedicated to the celebration of his country's National Day on 5 September.
Touching upon the development of bilateral economic relations, he informed of the notable growth of trade turnover. Hoffet also emphasized SOCAR's activity in Switzerland, which opened a network of petrol stations. At the same time, the diplomat sressed that the potential of trade and economic cooperation is not fully utilised.
"Azerbaijan attaches importance to the development of relations with Switzerland in various spheres and is interested in further expansion of co-operation," Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov said.
According to him, relations between the two countries are dynamically developing, "there is a stable political dialogue, mutual high-level visits are implemented".
When it comes to economic co-operation, Mammadov emphasized the important role of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in this matter. He also noted the involvement of Swiss companies in the projects of restoration of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. -06В-
