Ceyhun Bayramov and Sergei Lavrov.
Telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation
Baku / 14.10.20 / Turan: On October 14, a telephone call was held for the heads of the Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia.
Jeyhun Bayramov informed Sergey Lavrov that at about 1 am on October 14, the Armenian Armed Forces were put on alert for missile strikes against civilians and civilian infrastructure of Ganja, Mingachevir and other Azerbaijani cities.
In this regard, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces used their right to self-defense and destroyed these missile systems as legitimate military targets located on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Kelbajar region.
Bayramov blamed the escalation of the situation on the military-political leadership of Armenia.
In turn, Lavrov expressed serious concern over civilian casualties, noting the importance of observing the humanitarian truce reached during the Moscow meeting. –06D-
