Telephone conversation of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister with US Assistant Secretary of State
Baku/14.05.21/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov today held a telephone conversation with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Riker.
The parties exchanged views on the current situation in the region and tensions on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.
They stressed the importance of resolving tensions through diplomacy, through negotiations.
Bayramov stressed that Azerbaijan is committed to eliminating tension in the region. He said that the leadership of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan was promptly dispatched to the region, where they held negotiations with the opposite side to eliminate tensions. — 06D-
