Tension in Karabakh between Balasanyan and Babayan
Baku/17.05.19/Turan: The heads of the Security Council of Karabakh, Vitaly Balasanyan, accused the former commander of the Karabakh forces Samvel Babayan of spreading defeatist sentiments. According to Balasanyan, Babayan travels through the villages of Karabakh and talks about a plan to hand over five regions to Azerbaijan and transfer Karabakh under the mandate of Russia. According to the publications of Armenian media, Babayan asserts that, apart from Kelbajar and Lachin, other areas will have to be surrendered.
According to Balasanyan, the actions of Samvel Babayan "instill fear and mistrust of people in their own strength." He also accused Babayan of trying to convince Armenians of the power of the Azerbaijani army and the weaknesses of the Armenian side.
"A person bearing the title of Hero of Karabakh is not befitting such a defeatist behavior, including the dissemination of false information, that during negotiations, the Karabakh authorities are talking about territorial concessions," the Armenian media quoted Balasanyan. -02D-
