The administration of the pre-trial detention center took away from GUbad Ibadoglu the numbers of his lawyers
Baku/14.08.23/Turan: Gubad Ibadoglu's health problems remain. Hot weather exacerbates problems with the cardiovascular system and blood pressure. At the same time, blood sugar levels have increased in recent days. Lawyer Bahruz Bayramov told Turan about this on August 14 after a meeting with Gubad Ibadoglu in Baku pre-trial detention Center No. 1.
According to the lawyer, Gubad Ibadoglu once again declared his innocence. As for the ties with economist Fazil Gasimov, who was recently arrested in Turkey and brought to Baku, the lawyer said that it is not yet known whether they communicated.
Gubad Ibadoglu denied the information in the local media about his relationship with millionaire Mubariz Mansimov, the owner of the "Palmaly" group of companies. "Gubad stated that he had never met Mubariz Mansimov and had nothing to do with him," the lawyer said. Regarding the issue of Ibadoglu's rights protection by international organizations, the lawyer complained that there is no real result yet.
On August 15, investigative actions will be carried out against Gubad Ibadoglu, he concluded. At the same time, Ibadoglu's brother Ghalib Togrul wrote on his Facebook page that "psychological pressure on his brother continues."
"Today it became known that my brother's phone list of his lawyers was taken away, although the accused has the right to contact lawyers at any time," he said. So, the list of lawyers with phone numbers was taken by the jail. I wrote down the lawyers' phone numbers again and presented them to him," the brother said.
The Penitentiary Service did not respond to a request about this incident with phone numbers.
