Such assessments indicate that the Kazakh authorities were not only completely unprepared for what was happening, but were also unable to objectively assess the situation. Until now, no one from the leadership, from the opposition and experts of Kazakhstan has tried to analyze the cause of what happened. It seems that the country itself is not able to do even that.
One of the reasons for this situation was the absence of serious analytical centers and a strong civil society in the country. For all the years of independence in this country, there have been no serious studies of social, economic, national and political processes.
