The authorities announced the arrest of 4 thousand "terrorists" in Kazakhstan
Baku/08.01.22/Turan: Messages from Kazakhstan about the fight against riots resemble the reports of the authorities who have lost their heads.
So, the official data announced about 4 thousand detained "terrorists". About the fact that the militants "were driven out of Almaty, but they left for the mountains." It is also reported that among the detainees there are foreigners who are specially sent to Kazakhstan from "neighboring" countries, from which religious literature has been confiscated. But so far, only one crime boss and five members of his group have been introduced to the public, without explaining what they did. It seems that the authorities do not understand the meaning of the word "terrorist".
However, the most striking confession was made by the head of state Tokayev, who accused the security service of treason and treason. For years, militant camps had been set up in the mountains, he said, but the KNB (security service) was silent.
Such assessments indicate that the Kazakh authorities were not only completely unprepared for what was happening, but were also unable to objectively assess the situation. Until now, no one from the leadership, from the opposition and experts of Kazakhstan has tried to analyze the cause of what happened. It seems that the country itself is not able to do even that.
One of the reasons for this situation was the absence of serious analytical centers and a strong civil society in the country. For all the years of independence in this country, there have been no serious studies of social, economic, national and political processes. All analytics were reduced to the success of the "wise Elbashy" and the "correct" transfer of power from Nazarbayev to his family members, which was covered up by the figure of Tokayev.
In such a situation, one cannot expect that the authorities will make the right conclusions and that the country will avoid a repeat of the current crisis in the future. Most likely, the struggle between clans and elites will continue, assuming other forms. -02B-
