The case of the officials of the Ministry of Ecology transferred to the court
Baku/10.02.21/Turan: A preliminary investigation into the case against officials of the Ministry of Environment has been completed at the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the General Prosecutor's Office. The case was transferred to the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
The Prosecutor General's Office reported that the defendants in the case are the head of the Sumgayit-Khachmaz sector of the biological resources service in the water basins of the Ministry of Ecology Fikret Pashayev, the specialist of the regional fish farming department Ibrahim Mukhtarov and the chief inspector of the regional department for the protection of biological resources Zahid Bekirov.
In the period 2003 - 2018 these persons, by prior conspiracy, for bribes allowed poachers to fish in the Sumgayit-Khachmaz coastal zone.
Over the years, from 31 persons they received bribes totaling 287,660 manats. They were charged under the following Articles of the Criminal Code: 308.2 (abuse of office, resulting in grave consequences) Art. 311.3.1 (Taking a bribe by prior agreement by a group of persons), 311.3.3 (accepting a bribe on a large scale).
During the specified period the Ministry of Ecology was headed by Huseyngulu Bagirov. — 06D0-

Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia regarding the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports traveling for short-term visits. The document was signed by the foreign ministers of both countries, Jeyhun Bayramov and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, on September 27 during a meeting at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the meeting expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations based on mutual respect for each other's legitimate interests.
