The embassy of Saudi Arabia has officially notified the CMC about the abolition of the Hajj
Baku/26.06.20/Turan: The Saudi authorities have officially notified the Azerbaijani side of the abolition of the Hajj pilgrimage in 2020 for foreign citizens in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, reads official letter sent by the embassy of the kingdom to the Caucasus Muslims Office, accompanying a statement by the CA Ministry of Hajj Affairs.
"The Hajj will take place with the participation of a very limited number of pilgrims of various nationalities living in Saudi Arabia," the statement said.
The Caucasus Muslims Office, for its part, welcomed the statement of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia and supported the need for a decision, the CMD said.
This year, 250 believers applied for pilgrimage from Azerbaijan. –06D
