The head of the State Customs Service claims that during his time the customs seized three times more drugs
Baku/04.03.21/Turan: For three years, employees of the State Customs Service of Azerbaijan seized 4.6 tons of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors. This was announced on March 4 by the head of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev.
He noted that during the period of his leadership of the committee, much more drugs were seized than before.
So, 10 years before his leadership (in 2008-2017), slightly more than 3 tons of drugs and psychotropic substances were seized, in 2018-2020, and totaled 4.6 tons, Safar Mehdiyev noted. -02D-
