The investigation is trying to block “Kanal 13”
Baku/20.12.23/Turan: On December 11, the Sabail Court of Baku decided to block the Internet TV “Kanal 13”, Lamia Orujeva, the wife of the arrested head of this channel, Aziz Orujev, told reporters. His lawyer Bahruz Bayramov said that the court session was held without notifying the defense and representatives of the channel. It was not possible to obtain confirmation of such a decision in the Sabail court.
However, the problem is that “Kanal 13” does not have its own website and all videos are posted directly on YouTube. Blocking access to this channel means blocking access to YouTube altogether. 12 days after the court's decision, access to the video "Kanal 13" remains free.
Aziz Orujev was arrested on November 27 on charges of "illegal construction." A few days later, a new case was opened against him under the Article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code – smuggling by a group of persons. This means illegal financing from Western donors. -0-
