The Iranian Ambassador discussed the situation on the border road with Shahin Mustafayev
Baku/18.09.21/Turan: Iranian Ambassador to Baku Seyid Abbas Mousavi met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.
"The meeting discussed the current changes in the region, especially the new situation in the border areas between Azerbaijan and Armenia, new transport conditions in the Goris - Kafan road, as well as other related issues," the Iranian Embassy said in a Twitter message.
It has to be kept in mind that Mustafayev is also the Co-chairman of the Azerbaijani-Iranian inter-state commission on economic cooperation.
Also, within the week, Mousavi twice met the Presidential aide for the Azerbaijani foreign policy, Hikmet Hajiyev.
It is worth reminding that on August 11, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry handed a note to Mousavi due to the illegal transportation of goods by Iranian cars for the remnants of the separatist regime in Karabakh. However, the Azerbaijani side's concern was not taken into account and the transportation continued. In the light of the foregoing, the Azerbaijani side began to subject Iranian cars to customs inspection and collect duties from them on the section of the Goris-Gafan road passing through Azerbaijan.- 06B-
