The Ministry of Foreign Affairs excluded 58 foreign citizens from the "black list"
Baku/19.07.23/Turan: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the Media Development Agency and the Press Council issued a joint statement on the occasion of the National Press Day of Azerbaijan celebrated on July 22. The document says that 58 foreign journalists who have illegally visited the occupied territories of Azerbaijan in the past have been excluded from the list of undesirable persons of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
A list of these journalists is published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
In general, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's "black list" includes more than 2 thousand foreigners who have illegally visited the occupied territories at various times.
At a briefing with the participation of representatives of these departments, it was noted that now, after the liberation of the occupied territories, there are no problems for representatives of the Armenian media to visit Azerbaijan.
If Armenian journalists want to visit Azerbaijan, there will be no problems, the head of the Press Council Rashad Majid said.
However, these visits should be carried out within the framework of Azerbaijani legislation.
In turn, the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Ayhan Hajizade, noted that during the international events held in Azerbaijan, journalists of Armenian origin were already present as part of foreign delegations. "One of the necessary conditions for visiting Azerbaijan is respect for the laws of the country," Hajizade said.
According to the legislation of Azerbaijan, foreign journalists arriving in connection with their professional activities must be accredited by the country's Foreign Ministry. ----0--
