The opposition is going to cancel Armenia's participation in the Karabakh deal
Baku/10.11.20/Turan: The opposition prosperous Armenia party intends to call an extraordinary session of the Parliament in order to cancel Yerevan's participation in the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh that were signed the day before. This was stated by the Deputy Ivetta Tonoyan, reports "RIA Novosti".
On the evening of November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on the cessation of hostilities in the disputed region. One of the points of the document is the transfer of several districts that were previously controlled by Armenia to Baku.
"We are collecting signatures to call an extraordinary meeting to reverse this decision," Tonoyan said. At the same time, another member of the Armenian Parliament, Naira Zohrabyan, said that she doubted the possibility of canceling Yerevan's participation in the Karabakh deal.
According to Sputnik Armenia, the leaders of the "prosperous Armenia", "Dashnaktsutyun" and "Fatherland" parties met with the head of the General staff of the Armenian armed forces Onik Gasparyan and discussed the situation in the country. The parties supported the country's armed forces and the Karabakh defense Army and called on residents to remain calm.
Party leaders said they will soon discuss the situation in the country with their colleagues and submit proposals for its solution, RBC reports. -0—
