The parliament approved NovruzMammadovto the post of prime minister, 20 minutes after the beginning of the discussion of his candidature.Speaking to parliamentarians, Mammadov said that now he will work even more.
"Together with greater conviction we will serve this state. We will go even more confidently along the path, predetermined by the national leader Heydar Aliyev,"Mammadov promised.

Aliyev proposed Novruz Mammadov to the post of Prime Minister
Baku/21.04.18/Turan: On Saturday the Milli Majlis, on the proposal of President Ilham Aliyev, began discussion of Novruz Mammadov's candidacy for the post of prime minister. Previously Novruzov, worked as an assistant to the head of state for foreign policy. He was born on March 15, 1947 in the village of Shikhmahmud of the Babek district, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
In 1970 he graduated from the French branch of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. He worked as an interpreter in Algeria (1967-68 and 1978-81), and also in Guinea (1971-73).
He also worked in the said university, 1992-93, as the dean of the faculty of the French language.
In 1997, he was appointed head of the foreign relations department of the presidential administration.
Since June 1, 2017 Mammadov simultaneously has been appointed an assistant to the president for external relations.
In recent years Mammadov periodically criticized and accused the West of interfering in the internal affairs of other states. -06D-
