Baku/30.09.21/Turan: The President of Turkey will take part in the opening of the airport in the liberated city of Fuzuli. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Ibrahim Kalyn in an interview with Haber Flobal TV-channel.
The construction of the international airport began in January this year to be completed before winter. Turkish companies are involved in the construction.
On September 5, 2021, the first plane landed at Fuzuli airport — one of the largest Boeing 747-400 cargo planes owned by the Azerbaijani airline Silk Way Airlines. The cargo was delivered to Karabakh by this plane for the first time by air.
