Western countries refuse to recognize the legitimacy of Kobakhidze and his government due to the rigged elections. Until now, Kobakhidze and members of his cabinet have not made any official foreign visits.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was among fewer than ten world leaders who congratulated "Georgian Dream" on its victory in the parliamentary elections. The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Panjikidze is scheduled to hold talks with her Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov. After the meeting, they will hold a press conference.
