The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit in the case of the destruction of the Russian MI-24 helicopter
Baku / 10.11.20 / Turan: The General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan is investigating the incident with the Russian Mi-24 helicopter shot down on November 9 over the territory of Armenia.
A lawsuit has been filed under the Article 342.2 (negligence leading to the death of two or more people in combat conditions). The investigation is being conducted by the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The investigators examined the missile launcher that shot down the helicopter and interrogated the servicemen of the unit from which the missile was launched.
Investigative measures are being taken to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
The Russian helicopter flew in close proximity to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at a low altitude, outside the air defense radar detection zone, and the Russian Air Force helicopters had not previously been seen in the indicated area. -02D-
