The rally of the National Council at the monument to Mamedemin Rasulzade
Baku / 31.01.19 / Turan: Supporters of the National Council of Democratic Forces also held a rally on January 31 at the monument to Mamedemin Rasulzade in the village of Novkhani.
The The head of the NCDF, Jamil Hasanly, sharply criticized the policies of the authorities, noting that the current regime, violating the democratic values created by Rasulzade and his associates of the Azerbaijani People"s Republic, is mired in corruption.
As an example, he cited the sharp fall in Azerbaijan"s international rating in the Corruption Perception Index by 152 among 180 countries.
The authorities are engaged in personal enrichment, robbing pensioners, students, veterans and the disabled. Despite the country's natural wealth, a substantial part of the population is in poverty.
PFPA leader Ali Kerimli also sharply criticized the authorities for corruption, human rights violations, and arbitrariness.
He condemned the authorities for their zealous attitude to the memory of Rasulzade.
"They are trying in every way to forget Rasulzade. Because the example of honest, conscientious, disinterested service to the Motherland is exposed by this regime, which is based on corruption and plunder of national wealth," said Kerimli.
During speeches by Hasanly and Kerimli, electricity was periodically turned off, stopping the operation of amplifiers. In response, the rally participants chanted: "Resign!". - 03C06-
