The US Embassy on the tragedy of January 20
Baku /20.01.22/Turan: In connection with the next anniversary of the January events, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan issued a statement saying: "Today, together with the Azerbaijanis, we mourn and remember the dead.
Today we remember the price when a protest was brutally suppressed by external forces.
We remember the terrible losses suffered by the population when foreign troops invaded the country and used weapons against the civilian population to suppress unrest.
We remember the "Black January" in Baku in 1990, the brutal repression and mourn for the wounded and killed.
We remember all the people who gave their lives in support of their beliefs." -02D
