The US state Department announced a new humanitarian cease-fire in Karabakh
Baku/26.10.20 / Turan: Armenian foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov confirmed the two countries ' obligations to observe the cease-fire in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is due to take effect from 08.00 local time (07.00 Moscow time) on October 26. On Sunday, October 25, the press service of the US state Department reported.
As Secretary of state Michael Pompeo noted, " today the United States facilitated intensive negotiations with the foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the co-chairs of the organization for security and co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk group to move towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh."
Yerevan and Baku confirmed their " commitment to observe the humanitarian truce reached in Moscow on October 10."
On Saturday, October 24, the foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan met with Deputy Secretary of state Stephen Bigan and confirmed their countries ' readiness to implement the ceasefire agreements. This is reported by DW. -0-
